If you have a laptop with a “pointing stick,” or “blue knobby gizmo,” you may have had the experience that your cursor jumps around as you type. This can be especially annoying if you are typing something from an article and not watching the screen.Here’s how to disable the pointing stick.
Latitude E6400
- Disable Pointing Stick:
- Click on Start>Settings>ControlPanel>Mouse (double-click)
- Click on “Big Brown Arrow,” Button Settings, Device Select
- Disable Pointing Stick and Stick Buttons
- Click “Apply”
Latitude D630
