iPad Cart Captains

TIS Faculty,

Tech Crew met again today. We finalized who is assigned to each cart. Their task is different this year. They do not report missing iPads. They are to care for the cart and teach others how to do so. To that end they are working on a video to share that teaches others how to remove and return iPads without damaging the cords. Also, every cart should have this poster inserted to the inside of the cart. (attached) Let me know if you are still missing one. cow

iPad Cart Captains, “Make it so.”

If you are missing an iPad and can not find it, please let me know. We are no longer reporting missing iPads through the google form.

Wired Wednesday: Notetaking w/ Notability

TIS Superstars,

This is a reminder that Wired Wednesday is on for tomorrow after school 3:30-4:30 in Cyndi’s room. Please bring your laptop and iPad.

This is not a mandatory class. It’s offered to provide you with time to work with instructional technology without students so as to alleviate some stress. Follow-up support is included for free. 🙂Screenshot from 2015-09-22 16:51:53

We’ll be focusing on Notability, which is a powerful, yet wonderfully simple note-taking and annotation application.

Students and teachers can use Notability daily to take notes, sketch ideas, annotate PDFs, mark-up photos, record lectures, provide audio feedback and more. It is uniquely designed for each device to provide the best note taking experience at school, at home, and at work. And with iCloud, your notes are always up to date.

Capture memorable notes with these essential features

Wired Wednesday

Teachers,

Please join me for Wired Wednesday. We will focus on one application, program or teaching strategy that will make life better for you or your students either by enhancing teaching/learning or streamlining work-flow. Each session is worth 1/15th of a credit (1 seat hour). The first class will be “Taking Notes with Notability” on Sept. 23.

All are welcome! Whether you are afraid you’ll break it or are a Power User or something in between, you are encouraged to attend. Please bring your laptop and iPad.
